Welcome to The 0161 Project, where we're more than just a boxing club—we're a community-driven initiative rooted in the Collyhurst and Moston Boxing Club. Our mission is to redefine education for Greater Manchester's youth, providing a sanctuary for those at risk of exclusion or dealing with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.We believe in the transformative power of physical activity, especially boxing, to instill confidence, discipline, and essential life skills. Whether in the ring or through other activities, we aim to cultivate a positive identity in every young person we work with.Our journey began with a simple yet profound mission: to offer an alternative to traditional schooling for those who need it most. Over the years, we've expanded significantly, now offering group-based training, one-on-one sessions, and a pioneering post-16 program that breaks the mold of mainstream further education.Our vision extends beyond boxing. We've formed partnerships with like-minded organisations to offer a diverse range of vocational courses. From culinary arts with Kylie's Kitchen to hair and beauty courses through Inspire, and even bike maintenance with the Nationwide Cycling Academy, we're dedicated to providing pathways to success beyond traditional academics.Together, we're building more than just a club or a program—we're building a future where every young person has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
